Summarization: The Sun is Also a Star is a young adult romance novel by Nicola Yoon which delves into questions of God, love, and fate, as Jamaican-American Natasha meets and falls in love with Korean-American Daniel on the day she is due to be deported.

Review: A tale of two POC main characters that experience the trials of discrimination and testing the fate of the universe. One of my top five favorite books and authors that bring out the side of feeling young again and in love with the readers. This book will leave you breathless and really question your belief on the universe. If you didn’t believe in the universe this book will change your mind.

A recommended book for those who want to experience the trials and tribulations of first love and how the universe really does exist.

Title: Milk and Honey

Author: Rupi Kaur

Publisher: Andrews McMeel

Publication Date: 2016

Edition: 2016

Pages: 196

Special Features: None

Summarization: Milk and Honey Summary. milk and honey (lowercase intentional) is divided into four separate chapters: the hurting, the loving, the breaking, and the healing. Each chapter is a compilation of poems and each focuses on a different aspect of the speaker’s journey with love, abuse, femininity, and self-discovery.

Review: A fan favorite filled with truth, dignity, and woman empowerment. Just like the book The Sun and her Flowers she wrote, femininity and self-discovery is a key factor in her work. A beautiful tale of poems that speak the truth about her life. A page turner until the very end with beautiful writing and illustrations that will leave you breathless.

A high rated recommend for those who like poetry and want a quick read as well.
