Summarization: Kadence Mulligan’s star was rising. She and her best friend, Lauren DeSanto, watched their songs go viral on YouTube, then she launched a solo career when a nasty throat infection paralyzed Lauren’s vocal chords. Everyone knows Lauren and Kadence had a major falling-out over Kady’s boyfriend. But Lauren knows how deceptive Kadence could be sometimes. And nobody believes Lauren when she claims she had nothing to do with the disappearance. Or the blood evidence… As the town and local media condemns Lauren, she realizes the only way to clear her name is to discover the truth herself.

Review: Two girls. Both alive. Until one is reported missing. After the falling out of their friendship the two girls decide to go their separate ways until one night they are both at the same event. The day after. One is missing.

Overall, the book was written very well, but missed the shot at the end. It had climatic writing, scenery, and character driven work that left you wanting to know more about the characters. It makes you want to defend Lauren Desanto’s innocence. Or show her guilt. Kadence’s character has fell short sadly, as despite her development, you aren’t left wanting her to be okay, but to simply find out what happened and move on.

If you like a mystery book that isn’t too mysterious with rather semi-well written characters that will leave you turning the page until the very end to solve the mystery, I recommend this book to you.
